But how do you dry the dishes once the dishwasher is done? Do you leave them in the dishwasher to dry, which mean that you can't add new dished until it's all dry and you've emptied it? Do you let them dry on a counter? But in that case where do you find enough space? Or do you put the wet dishes in your cupboards even though it'll trap moisture in there? Or do you manually wipe the dishes with towels like some crazy people do?
wrote on last edited by [email protected]I just open the dishwasher. Pull out the bottom rack, shake the top rack a bit and deal with any puddles. Anything that's not dry just goes back in for another hour. Leave the door open until dry.

Really? Everytime I go to family or friends who have a dishwasher and help with emptying it, the dishes are always at least a bit wet... Maybe everyone I know just has cheap dishwashers
Sanitizing on high heat seems like a great feature to haveI sanitize my cider bottles in the dishwasher. Works great.

Oh believe me the person who does the kitchen would have raised hell if that had happened, they had plenty of meltdown over other things in the past (rightfully so), so I'm quite sure it's a good system.

Its hollow from the bottom, the wooden part at the bottom is just in the front so water drips to the sink area under and has good ventilation.

The trick is to wipe it down with a wet soft wipe regularly, you dont even need chemicals.
Even if you don't you don't need chemicals. Just some water and citric acid.

I run it at night and it opens automatically when it's done. Wake up to clean dry dishes.

True, but even citric acid can hurt chrome coating long term. 1/10 citric acid/water ratio is recommended.

We have one of these! Saw a pic on Reddit and had it delivered within a week. We actually use it all the time for things that shouldn’t go in the dishwasher. A few things:
- They’re expandable, so they can go over single and double sinks.
- They’re generally made of “just strong enough” metal, to the shelves sag. Have had some heavy stuff on there, so it’s still pretty solid.
- It never looks anywhere near this organized.
- Stuff stays on it way longer than necessary, but it does eventually get put away… when we have company over.
I have one of these, too, and I’ve never been able to use it. Would if I could, it’s brilliant! But in my last flat it was too tall to fit under the cupboards, and in my current one it’s too wide to fir between them.
I have a dishwasher, but I use a dish dryer as a ‘pre-washer rack’ because my ADHD ass can never empty a clean dishwasher quick enough to avoid dirty dishes piling up. So the dryer rack keeps dishes from blocking the sink. Stupid problems sometimes require stupid solutions.
