I've seen this kind of post a few times. If I survived a near-death experience, you bet I'd be glued to my phone telling everyone I was ok as soon as I could.

Yeah right talking to their friends .... they're googling ... 'what is the survival rate of fractured spine' ... 'will I bleed out' ... 'can I trust a fireman?' ... 'is there life after death?' ... 'will I go to heaven?'

I did chuckle at the notion but honestly, I have information stored on my phone that would come in handy in this situation. So yeah, I'd be on my phone, pulling up documents.

FDNY indicates it's in the US, so they're googling: "What's the nearest hospital that's in my health insurance network?"

Weird meme, I mean.. obviously she's not scrolling tiktok. I'd hate for a traumatic experience I went through to be photographed at a compromising angle and mocked online by strangers. Not pointing at you OP because I'm sure you didn't make this, but whoever did needs to consider being more empathetic towards their fellow human being.

The author of this meme likely doesn't have children or I think this would have been their first thought.

paramedics were loading me into the ambulance recently and I said, "you guys are a bunch of jokers; I'm fine."

It wouldn't be my insurance info that I'm pulling up, but stuff like medication that I'm taking that might be relevant for first responders to know or emergency contact information (I presume they'd ask for these things if I'm conveniently conscious).

Right? First thing I'd do would be to message my spouse that I'm okay but to come to the hospital
