        I've had employers questioning the lack of a LinkedIn profile that's also updated.

        Also had some looking at peoples Instagram.

        Times are wild.

          My job literally has HR advisors that search your name through all the major social media sites and build webs of accounts created by individual users. You don’t even disclose your socials because they’ll have them already…

            This actually makes sense. The problem though, will be the same reason fact checkers failed; personal and institutional bias on what's considered acceptable.

            Only an unbiased AI could do this well, and that's a loose statement.

              Ha, i have zero social media footprint other then lemmy... I've had identically named people cause some confusion with HR before....

                I don't think there's such a thing as an unbiased AI. They're all biased based on the input data.

                Something like this would be inherently subjective, it's not a pure data question with a clear yes or no.

                  Machine learning and LLMs isn't the only way to do AI though.
