Just goes to my point how oblivious many of you are to any of this.
Why the right has captured and engaged so much more of the population than you have. The left are finished.
Well yeah that's what always boggled my mind - oil drilling rights, abortion, taxes, these things don't have anything to do with each other, but if someone has an opinion on one of them, you can pretty well guess their opinion on the rest.
I dunno though, Europe seems to be doing pretty well with regulations that go after big corporations and benefit everyday people. I think it's just in America where "the left" is finished. If anything it's such a disaster that it's like a warning to the rest of the world. Trump's election flipped the polls in Canada from right to... well not left, but not right either.

Good point about Canada. They flipped. Meaning the conservatives were in the lead by a lot. The only thing that stopped them was Trump fucking up. This is the same almost everywhere. The Lefts victory's have not been because of their policy or engagement with the people. The left has been winning only when the right fuck up. Any other time the right has captured dominant positions in many key areas. Vice versa, the left are hobbling themselves at every turn while slowly dismantling themselves. I have no doubt Lemmy is targeted and manipulated by groups looking to convince the left to eat itself.

But you're right, the left has been infiltrated and manipulated to focus on minorities and identity politics instead of things that benefit everyone, like increased wages, corporate regulations, corporate taxes, worker's rights. You don't hear too much about those these days. Maybe because the media doesn't talk about those lefties. Maybe it's in the media's interest to only show you what they want you to see.

Not AI but AI Slop. An AI image is created over time, fine tuning the prompt until it is perfect.
AI slop is just the first thing the ChatGPT image creation tool shows you. Perfect edges, a lot of mistakes, background that’s just jitter, a comic in that one specific style with the thick lines, that yellowish tint, the fur of animas looks too perfect all the way like the whole body is a macro shot.
After some time you kind of… feel AI generated images, audio, video and text. Bad use of LLMs has a pattern.

Most of the AI shitposts i see, or AI comics in general seem to have this really weird art style that you can kind of zero in on when you've seen it enough times. Personally I've been seeing it less since I've taken to just blocking the user who posts it.
