Totally unrealistic

I'm just wondering is "delulu" slang for "delusional"? Like was the real word that hard to spell?
I think it's short for "the lulu" which is a cutesy name for the Lusitania, meaning they feel like they have been sunk.

It's a cutesy way of spelling it, popularized on social media and also by content creators

Watch the opening of Friends.
What do you mean by 2nd grear?

What do you mean by 2nd grear?
It’s the Friends theme song lyrics. It means when it feels like you’re in a rut. Metaphorically like having a car that is stuck in 2nd gear and you can’t move gears up to accelerate.

You’re not stupid. Don’t worry about it!

It’s like you’re always stuck in 2nd gear.
And it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year!

I’ll be there for you!

Sometimes words evolved for the spelling, sometimes for the sounds.
I think in this case it was for the fun sound, especially given it arose through tiktok communities.

I figured its unrealistic body standards and lifestyles? All the pictured people (mostly women) are barbie-doll skinny and tall.
I had to look up delulu, and it seems to be a reaction to that very thing:
Delulu is an internet slang term used to describe the belief that one can influence one's own destiny through sheer willpower. Derived from the English-language word delusional, the term has its origins in K-pop communities where the term delulu is used to refer to individuals who were in a parasocial relationship with celebrities and had hopes of meeting them someday. The term has subsequently been adopted by Generation Z and Generation Alpha, popularized by viral TikTok trends such as the catchphrase "delulu is the solulu", implying that self-confidence is key to achieving one's dreams, however far-fetched. Solulu and trululu are slang terms for "solution" and "truth" respectively, and they are modeled after delulu.
Still confused. These look like normal people with some nice makeup on.
Is the joke that americans are fat?
