So true

My cousin used to post things like that on Facebook/MySpace all the time during his emo phase. They appeared to have been secret messages intended for his crush(es) to decipher, and it made me want to die a little every evening when a new one would manifest.
It would read something like "HILYMTLIAIWTBYH", which (upon decoding) meant, "Hailey I love you more than life itself and I want to be your husband". Whether or not Hailey ever wasted her time on such an obnoxious endeavor is unclear. I certainly hope not.

At least the one I posted is easy to identify. (Dude I Got Some Fucking Banana Bread At Work Today...)

Damn I would've said Animal Crossing for the first one, but I've never played an Assassin's Creed game so there's that. Also CS makes me think of Counterstrike.
I only played about 20-30 minutes of Assassins Creed myself, but you hear the name all the time. I was actually going to put Counterstrike for CS but skipped it somehow.

I'd've thought EA is just an abbreviation for Electronic Arts.
Back in the day, a couple of people I knew abbreviated it as EOA to more closely match their original logo.
That was the first thing that popped into my head, but I thought @[email protected] was just listing game names.

That's what bugs me about that one.
Saying "good morning" or "good evening" or whatever is a salutation. It's not conveying any real information, it's just ritual politeness. I'm not a big fan of ritual politeness. But, if you're going to do it, don't half-ass it. To me, it's impolite and insincere to half-ass or abbreviate a greeting.
I feel the same way about "GG" and "TX" for thanks. Do it right, or don't do it at all.
ah, but ggez is classic!

Could someone let me know please? I’ve been wondering.
I mean, there's a dude somewhere here on lemmy who types like that all the time, so I guess it's a thing?

My latest one was rq.
I thought it was a typo.
It stands for 'real quick'.
Rq is a rage quit

On the first date?
I encourage people to meet expectations. Petting is important. How will you ever get the second date if you don't wear the collar?

My gamer self wants to know why you’re crying or insinuating that I’m crying. Oh, quick question? Just fucking ask and stop priming me for your next move.

Yeah, mb. EA for Early Access / Electronic Arts.

Millennials are entering their 40's. This is gen z shit
I'm talking about the meme lol

"ggez" is fine because you're taunting, it's meant to be rude. If you're trying to be polite but say "gg" it reads about the same, that you don't care enough to actually type out a few extra characters.

When one piece fans have hyped up the villains for Water Seven but saying u are excited to see CP9 is way too sus
I know some of those words.

Not according to the gen z who I was chatting to. Also, rage quit would have made no sense in that specific context.

Let's fucking go.
Edit: for that matter, "LFG, LFG!" is a grammatically correct acronym sentence.
Please tell me this isn't really what this means.

I have this problem when people use abreviations for game names. There are so many games that it's impossible for me to understand.
And good luck to find out which game it is if it's a new one you never heard of...It can sometimes work if there are more than one character involved TES:III, F:NV, EU4, CK2, VIC2, HOI4, and CoC are all good examples. Also yes I did use a bunch of paradox games but only the ones I have more than a thousand hours in.

Maybe, but there's nothing correct about abbreviating "good morning".
The French abbreviated "today" ages ago (aujourd'hui) and they're doing fine.
