lemmy.ml is the instance run by the lemmy developers, who are tankies. Tankies are people who support authoritarian regeims such as the soviet union, or north korea.
As such, they sometimes remove anti-china or pro-ukraine posts/comments.
They also sometimes bridgade threads.

I have Sync for reddit and sync for Lemmy on my phone, it's confusing as hell but I can't complain lol
Sometimes I wish we could give app names aliases or suffixes something. Would be helpful when some apps have identical names, like "Weather".

Is anyone else just enjoying seeing people create actual user names again and not just using the automatically generated ones reddit has done for awhile?
I gave up on doing that after a few bans, coming up with an original username was getting difficult.
On here, you have more faith that you will be using the same name for a while.

That's true. But it's the numbers that will really tell the story if lemm.ee grows and how it grows. That's why it's far more telling in the months ahead and not some random single day.

Without a critical mass of people, niche communities tend to have very few posts and comments. I wish there were more general communities like the early days of reddit instead of going straight into hundreds of dead communities.
