UK citizens say it is more important to support Ukraine than to maintain good relations with US, survey shows
-
We must not pigeonhole people, not in the US nor anywhere else. As I write this comment there are apparently two US citizens in this thread who definitely don't appear to fit into your description. [Edit typo.]
Are not aware how metonymy works? Of course there are nice Americans. There are nice people everywhere. “The Americans” here is being used as a stand in for the actions of their government for at least the last sixty years. Longer, if you include the centuries of land theft, genocide, slaving, pillage, and terror. All of these acts were sanctioned by a government that was elected, supported, and funded by American citizens. This is who they are. The presence of a few friendly faces in a sea of greedy, rapacious cunts doesn’t change much.

Never let the bully win
The bully has continuously won the last 500 years or so and it was us. But we have some redemption to do and should try to be on the good side of history for once.

Hey, Germany... Y'all want to keep the old "East Germany"?
You better fucking tell every EU country to defend Ukraine!

The UK public… having broadly socialist views but voting Tory ever since the Whigs stopped being a thing.

That's not a really good point. Most people would love to get rid of those Nazis, People loving to play the eternal victim role, and being a drag on our economy

That's my point. The original question is not a real either/or question. It's a leading question that pretends to be either/or.
Look at all those Ghost drivers!

I think this is largely untrue. The public might have slightly left-wing views when it comes to the economy and state services, but I'd stake any money that if it was remotely feasible to build a net down the middle of the English channel to keep out the small boats, they'd be clamouring for it.
