Most people hate school. Even the "smart kids", what they really like is learning or knowledge, not school.

Most people hate school. Even the "smart kids", what they really like is learning or knowledge, not school.
Yeah, certified "smart kid" here, and I had some friends, but most of my close friends weren't in my classes, so I barely got to see them. I love learning, it's literally the reason why I'm learning another language rn and spend hours tinkering with my laptop, but I fucking hated school. It was so monotonous and tiring, and I was waking up before sunrise to get ready for school but frequently went to sleep past 12 am. Add clubs and sports on that and I had mornings where I seriously wondered why I was still alive.
I cried several times each week in my classes, and sometimes at the front of the room near the teachers desk. Whenever I recount the various times I silently cried in class, my friends look horrified.
Highschool was not kind.
