My experience is pretty good as the team has the general mindset of, "Avoid waisting other people's time, get stuff done, and do quality work. If you are doing that we don't care what your process is." A lot of movement is going to draw people's attention. It's just baked into humans. If you need to do movement that is going to be in people's line of sight while they work, just go for a walk. You will feel watched and judged. But the reality is they have their own work and problems to worry about. Generally if your not interfering with them doing their own thing, they don't care. People being OK with you doing off task things like reading would be like an earned privilege if allowed at all. You are new and will need to prove that you can deliver. If you earn a reputation for consistent, quality, on time work you manager will be more open to you managing your own schedule. Volume control is important. Most conversations seem to happen at the level between normal conversation and whispering. This generally means conversations are not disruptive to people nearby. But always assume everyone around you can hear everything you say and choose topics/words accordingly. I didn't share my ADHD with my manager until I was well established in my role and trusted that wanted to help me succeed. I'm not saying that is the correct choice, just what I did. Before that we did have many conversations about how I can work most effectively finding the balance of what I need and what the team needs. As for accomodations, I would get explicit permission to were noise blocking headphones and a desk that doesn't face an area with a lot of traffic. People moving in your line of sight all day is super distracting.

One solution is to get a wife with big enough fingers for a bigger poison ring.

I have the same reaction to all of these except napping. If I lay down for like 10ish minutes and try to sleep, it really helps clear my head even if I'm not sleepy.

You’re welcome. It’s the first part of any good computer science course, or it was when I was in college at least. And you don’t really need a professor to take you through it, it’s very well written.

When the amount of time management, task tracking, studying guide I found helpful have ADHD labeled on them.... I started to connect past experiences together. It got to the point where I just need an answer and get this question out of my system. Got myself evaluated, and the rest is history.

I have Adha and hypertension. As such I have an unused bottle of amlodapine at home. I'll take it and report back Update: it's been 5 days and as much as I thought this medicine wouldn't do anything to help my adhd, it has. I'm on the lowest dose of amlodapine possible as such I need to talk with my Dr to see if i can increase. The only downfall is, is that it doesn't help with energy levels like sone of the stimulants do, however it definitely helps with motivation and concentration. I'll continue on until I finish tge bottle and will make a final update in 24 days. Early indications are promising though

Except for the surgeon who performed a self-appendectomy, they probably go to a different hospital to avoid gossip.

Stuff like the Willow or Wheel of Time tv series, I just can't get into them, they seem sooo dull that I pop off to sleep in under ten minutes.
