Let’s say you only eat red lentils for your proteins, which according to that DIAAS calculator has only 59% of the SAA compared to the amino acid distribution that your body needs. Then the solution is simply to eat twice as many red lentils to get to 118% SAA. That isn't quite how Liebig's barrel works, just to be clear you need to eat till the minimum amino acid is satisfied. So Red Lentils, you need to eat 200g to get 25g of usable bioavailable protein. For a average adult with a 130g daily protein requirement, that means they will need to eat ~5x that dose, so 1,000g of red lentils per day. Now, a body builder may be willing to eat 1kg of cooked red lentils per day, but that is a big ask for the global population. DIAAS is only relevant, if you eat close to the minimum amount of protein that your body needs in general, which is hard to do. Most people under eat their protein; Especially if we look at consumed protein by diaas measurement and not "crude protein" estimates based on nitrogen readings.

I've nibbled on my dog's cricket flour treats. Tasted like any other dog treat. She adored them, though.
  • How do you even answer this?

  • I guess I'd try some, regardless of the legal status of other meats.

You think nuggets are 95% meat? Long may you remain in blissful ignorance.
  • No, I'd hunt deer on the reservation.

I would side with you if it wasn't for the parent thread using the word "insect". It is definitely some form of nit picking though on my part.

I didn't really think about it before, but yes, the tactile sensation of its smooth but clearly not artificially smooth surface is there. The apple isn't in one piece like this. It's fragmented but connected (seemingly like everything else in my memory). When I think of an apple, the shape, the various red shades, surface feel, crispness, smell and flavor of a bite, as well as the visual guidance of a knife to cut into it all manifest at nearly the same time. And yes, that's exactly how I would describe it like a framebuffer. Almost as fast too, a single frame where an image of an apple sits on a table then the rest of my processing continues. For whatever reason, computer science and architecture has helped me explain this as sort of a populated instance of class Apple. This instance sits in hard storage, and retrieves it when I get apple from main memory. But that's not just all. Apple is a fruit, so I also get information about the fruit object, and fruits connected to it too, in real time. I have ADHD, so I know my brain is physically wired differently. I suspect it's related to the "cobweb" of thoughts that is normally present.

Could say that about a lot of things. Rice is a delivery device for soy sauce

Throwing in an entire stick of butter and a generous dash of salt and garlic will already get you halfway there. I read somewhere that the reason you can’t quite get the same taste of a restaurant dish when doing it at home is because of the absurd amount of butter and salt they use.
  • I’ma keep it real with you homie…

We learn from our mistakes don't we? Hows it go, it's only truly a mistake if we don't learn from it. It's still your liberation day, and I still wish you the best in finding what you need in life. Love a good fresh start, be kind to yourself out there, stay genuine to your heart.
