    Well... Boss 'smashes windows to drum up business' The owner of a glass company has been arrested after police found he had smashed windows of business employed by him to replace them. Andrew Krogh, 47, who owns a glass and mirror company in California, was arrested with a slingshot and ball bearings in his possession. Krogh is accused of driving a white van that appeared to be identical to the one caught several times on surveillance video on nights that windows were shattered at a martial arts studio. The building's landlord said he had spent at least $12,000 in six months to repair 13 broken windows and that he had hired Krogh to do the work on at least one occasion.

    There is this nice thing called NATO, and also this thing called EU, and sometimes Russia/China which are their own world of messed up, but can still be of use. China is currently assfucking USA with revenge tariffs as we speak. Vietnam fucked USA up the other way. Although at a great cost.

    I was commenting on the vast difference in the statistical numbers. I have no doubt there are lots of steps that can be taken to decrease the risk of shortened lifespan. But yes, we can safely engage in high-risk behavior (or in some instances like air racing pilots, come to terms that they will likely -- and preferably -- end their lives explosively and spectacularly). And then there's how James Cameron does super-deep submersible exploration vs. Stockton Rush. My mother would not only climb up rock faces and summit mountains all over the Sierra Nevadas (and later in other parts of the world) but would lug twenty five pounds of old-school photography gear to show she did it and take pics of the astounding vistas. As a kid I went along with her sometimes, and encountered a few two many poison oak pushes, mosquito swarms, and stories about lost bits due to frostbite. I Belong To The City now (I belong to the night).
