    You know what... I do use a VPN and adblock/anti tracking stuff. I'd never thought of that being the reason. Which I guess just goes to show how it defaults to "let's show this person tits and rage-bait, that'll likely keep them clicking." That would also explain why YouTube, which I have a paid sub for, always seems to show me stuff I'm interested in. Hahaha

    No, it's none of that. It's that in my over four decades of life, I've never once lived up to my OWN potential, and despite trying my best, giving up, trying again, ... countless times, I've still never managed to markedly improve my station in life, or my enjoyment of it. I know I have everything I need to be capable, smart, confident person, but I've never BEEN any of those things, even fleetingly, so I can't really even imagine how it would be like. Pathethic, I know.

    I've been in a similar situation. It seems it's the only type of person I seem to attract. They pursue me, only when I eventually reciprocate they freak out, and self-sabotage ensues. In my case, the only thing was to walk away, because they were dragging me down with them. Some people can get past the trust issues (I have my own issues that I've been working through), but others can't. So I don't actually have any advice, sorry.
