    Stupid thought but BS's first two albums both came out within like 14 months of that song. Perhaps it was the kernel that got their sound together. I wonder if there are any recordings of Sabbath from before the release of that song...

    I have nothing to support this but I’ve always thought it was to play into middle America’s biased perception of New York/LA. It always seems like middle Americans thought about the increased salaries in these areas with taking the CoL there into consideration. They’d think someone making huge salaries must have all this extra income without considering they’re probably paying 2-3x the cost for housing alone, if not more.

    That tracks. In most of the US it is a lot less expensive then it is perceived. 18 holes can be played for as little as $20. Though usually more like 30 or 40 if near an urban area. And clubs are easy to come by used at great prices.

    It is an actual, accredited medical school and we still take the same board exams. The subjects where the religiosity shows the most are the ethics classes, abortion, and LGBTQ+ healthcare. Otherwise, the most prominent manifestation was prayer at the start of lectures and exams.
