Is dubvee.org the SRS of Lemmy?
-
For those not familiar with SRS on Reddit
they started a troll sub in which they posted
links to other user posts/comments and then
sent DMs to those users to troll them into
engaging in their harassment sub.I had never heard of the Lemmy instance dubvee.org
or their com /c/30rock
until it appeared in my ALL feed. But being a fan of the TV show 30 Rock,
I attempted to upvote, and was met with a message
informing me that I was banned from their community. This seemed odd to me, as I was never informed that I was
banned from any community on Lemmy. So then I tried to determine why I was banned.
First I started with the modlog for that community on that instance.
https://lemmy.world/modlog/2986
This seemed odd to me, as there were pages and pages of 1000s of bans
for no reason. Is this typical for dubvee.org?Searching for my username, I found this.

Permanent Instance BanExtremism - Advocating assassination
When: 7mo ago
"Item" links to https://dubvee.org/u/[email protected]
with no explanation of this "Extremism - Advocating assassination"
According to the log, this was seven months ago, which would
have been long before any of this Luigi stuff. If that's
what they are talking about. -

That instance has always (to my knowledge) had a hard-line extremism stance, and they take proactive measures to prevent anything borderline from being federated to the instance.
Looks like this was the comment that got you banned: https://lemmy.world/comment/11174896

This comment?
And regardless of what side of the aisle, they will all stand together on this. Why? Maybe because any one of them could be next.
We never had the guillotines in this country. So the ruling class never learned that part the hard way. That is "Advocating assassination" ?
