I think the following is a better idea:
Be better than them, help people negatively affected by them, vote, try to be less cynical and more rational, instead of continuing the cycle of hatred. It is better for your own mental health and the lives of others.
I am just as susceptible to anger as anyone else and by no means above it, just to make that clear.
I know people don't want to hear this, because humans are wired to be extremely responsive to hate (just look at twitter) and I don't mean to be preachy, but this would be a much greater net positive for humanity.
Edit: Looking at the replies makes me think we're fucked.

Punching people is not something you just do. Especially to people with Nazi mentality who probably gone their whole lives feeling anti social and waiting for a leftist to engage them.

okay, lesson here: you see those two big knuckles? those are your punching knuckles. you punch with those. you punch with the other two you're gonna break your hand. line those up with the big bone, you got a good fist. now at least you can throw a punch without completely breaking yourself.

I have been doing martial arts for more than a decade, and have shot a few hundred rounds. I even own some weapons that I can legally (living in EU). Next year I’m going to a 3 days combined firearms training with an also leftist friend. There is no reason we can’t or shouldn’t do these kind of things

This site, and honestly modern leftism in general, is utterly weak and in a sorry state. Lotta tender kids hiding in their discord groups talking hard about punching nazis, overthrowing the government, revolutions, etc. But if even half of them went out and organized and voted as regularly as the conservative orc army we wouldn't need to be boarded up behind cultural firewalls.

The people that go nazi I have often are usually people who thrive in conflict. It's like a weird attention seeking thrill thing.
