I was surprised to hear neopets is still a thing. A friend went and checked it on a whim.

I've been recently going through a Neopets Renaissance myself and I read a post on the other site that was a brief rundown of the entire history (with links to proof, and other longer explanations of details) of Neopets.

Basically an ex-employee of Netdragon (who used to own NP), who was also a huge fan and player, bought the IP, and is trying to bring it back to its glory days.
