The era of traditional video games is just over for Gen Z. They aren’t just playing games anymore, instead, they are rewriting the rules. Forget about what we used to play with static storylines and pre-designed worlds.
This new generation is flipping the script by building their own unique games, virtual hangouts, and even economies. This is the era of User Generated Content (UGC).

The article is about Roblox and Fortnite not gaming as a whole. Is there a ton of money in those games? Yes. Is that the future of all gaming? No.

Nah, just.. future of Roblox and Fortnite is not synonymous with the future of gaming. Yes, those are huge games with tons of revenue, but it's not all of gaming. Traditional gaming isn't going anywhere.

Those are neither new games, nor new concepts. Where is the indicator that this is the future of gaming?

They’re not new games yet they are in the top games every year which might say something.

Live service games are relatively new and among the most popular every year. You’re right traditional games aren’t going anywhere but neither are these style of games. And to insinuate they haven’t disrupted or changed the industry is silly.
