On one hand it feels weird that a whole instance should be spun off for this. On the other I just say fuck it, decentralization helps spread the load.

If it was about ex-ussr countries, I could've suggested 'Me and my carpet', since wall carpets were a default sign of doing good back then and many photoes even now have them in the beckground. It's a part of our nostalgic aesthetics and a sign of a boomer old-timers cringe if used out of context. Is there some international alternative to that?

I understand why it's called as such, but I'm not really a fan of the community being called 'dull', as I've found quite a few of the posts pretty interesting. Maybe I too am just dull, lol.
Maybe something like "Everyday Life" would be a good fit.

I like this one. It's a spin on the original name and unique to the Fediverse. Also not everything needs to be inclusive. Nothing wrong with it being a place meant for guys to shoot the shit. Changing the name that way would take away from the comedy imo. And anyway you can pose as a dull man on the internet, who's gonna know? Lol

It actually increases the load, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing if it helps prevent centralization.

There’s the concept of a “men’s shed” where old blokes hang out and work on projects and keep social so this is like a version of that but on the fediverse.

But now we can branch it off and have like a full gardening community and a full cooking one, a place for people to say something they've done today that was full but worthwhile, the dullness is endless.
