When I call Trump and Musk Nazis, I'm not talking about concentration camps or genocide as with 1940 Nazis either. I'm referring to 1933 Nazis which were using demonization of others, attacking independent media, and The Big Lie to consolidate power. The parts you mentioned required those in order to be possible.

Everybody, especially Zelenskyy, knew that this was going to be a bad deal, for one simple reason: Putin won't back down on Ukraine, and Trump will never defy Putin. So, the best possible outcome is that talks are televised, so that the world can see that he's being reasonable, and Trump was being a bully. And it worked!
