Temperatures at north pole 20C above average and beyond ice melting point
-
Summary
The North Pole experienced an extreme warming event, with temperatures soaring more than 20°C above average, nearing 0°C—the melting point of ice.
Scientists attribute this anomaly to a low-pressure system over Iceland directing warm air northward, amplified by unusually warm Atlantic waters.
The Arctic is warming nearly four times faster than the global average, accelerating sea ice loss.
Experts predict Arctic summer sea ice could vanish within two decades.

Here's Paul Beckwith, the guy who coined the term 'blue ocean event', on this news.

... and the AMOC will break.
The researchers also mapped some of the consequences of AMOC collapse. Sea levels in the Atlantic would rise by a meter in some regions, inundating many coastal cities. The wet and dry seasons in the Amazon would flip, potentially pushing the already weakened rain forest past its own tipping point. Temperatures around the world would fluctuate far more erratically. The southern hemisphere would become warmer. Europe would cool dramatically and have less rainfall. While this might sound appealing compared with the current heating trend, the changes would hit 10 times faster than now, making adaptation almost impossible (emphasis added).
Hope NYC and Boston and DC and Florida are ready for a +3 foot sea level rise in like 5 to 10 years.

What’s incredible is that, apparently, about 40% of America and at least some of the world will be convinced this is not happening at all.
As it’s happening.
We have cameras in freaking space, entire institutions dedicated to tracking this for years, basically the entire world networked, and people aren’t going to believe what’s happening right in front of them!

It's not seeing it for them. They think that because earth has ice ages that this is just a "cycle". They seriously believe that even though you can physically see global temps data since the 1800s and it SKYROCKETS in the 1920s and almkst triples year over. Like... It's fucking obvious this isn't a "natural cycle".
The worst argument these idiots spew is: "yeah.. it's climate change... The climate changes, it's not serious" like what!? The fuck!?
The worlds hope is on Asia and Europe's hand. Trump once again just wants to dig for oil and gas on US soil because he's too fucking retarded to read a book once.
