I too get sketched out when a Kia gets up to 120.

Because we're both about to get a ticket for speeding.

I should probably specify I'm using km/h to measure speed, I've been afraid to do anything past 140 (87mph).

I don't think the pigs around here care about speeding though...

      140 (87mph).

I'm sure there are cars where I wouldn't feel a thing and all that, but mine would shake itself apart.

120/75 is my limit, and honestly my truck shouldn't be going over 90/55 because it loses the tiny bit of efficiency it has.

I always get sketched about the vibrations from my Kia when driving over 120, but I keep saying to myself it's just that the car wasn't designed to go fast 😅

As a mechanic, you can pay me now to deal with it, or 10x as much if you ignore it.

Good thing I have a bike. My car broke down like 4 years ago, been biking since. People scare me, so I don't have places to be.

That's why I drive an older gmc pickup

Barely ever breaks and when it does it's stupid simple to work on

Imagine owning a car newer than like 2010 lol that's for suckers

Tonight I'm at work and roomie texts a video of a water leak probably from the ancient upstairs bathtub faucet...that's embedded in tile. Fucking tile. FUCK.

The month prior the faucet vibrated loudly when I tried to use it. The plunger failing to seat. Guess it caused a crack.

My car in high school did this and I used a coat hanger. Worked really well until it didn't.

my cruise control keeps me from crashing into the car in front of me, in the fog. that alone is worth having a car newer than 2015.

Sacramento Police department has a helicopter, Air One, that the department is super proud of. I live in a not-rich neighborhood where Air One likes to hang out and help which sometimes includes shouting inaudibly on the PA. Air One has its own webpage which is sometimes current about what it's doing, but not always.

Air One also likes to fly low enough that we can hear the thumping of the rotors through our apartments. At 11pm on a school night. We know it doesn't have to because the rescue choppers zing by quietly on their way.

And lately Air One has gotten, whinier. This loud screeee! that wasn't their before that makes me think something in the rotors is not sufficiently oiled, or something is about to fall apart. I wonder if Air One is soon going to make an unscheduled landing in my neighborhood.

I understand, it could be useful in foggy situations. But preventing a crash should be the exception, not normal, even in fog!
