Thousands of Danes sign petition to buy California from U.S.
-
Califørnia is clearly Danish
-
Trade California for Greenland Trump. Do it. It’s such a huge deal and you love deals!
-
If they somehow actually take California, can the two states above it join so I can get that sweet GDPR?
-
That depends. Overseas territories aren't always part of the Schengen.
Also isn't money the main obstacle to going to California for EU citizens? I can't imagine it would be that hard to get a visa right now.
-
My mind is blown!
-
That also means you can only visit all of the EU and California for 3 months per year.
Schengen destroyed holidays in the EU because you can't hop from country to country and get new visas anymore
-
Beaches. The nature is nice. Its just half the people that suck.
-
I wouldn't mind, but it is pretty funny when you consider that California's GDP alone is ten times that of Denmark's.
-
In response to President Donald Trump’s continued musing about the U.S. acquiring Greenland from Denmark...
I love how the article uses the word musing instead of, oh I don't know, raving lunacy? Rambling idiocy?
How whimsical of them...
-
You don't need a visa to travel inside the Schengen area and you can travel freely inside UE.
-
Oh please please please please please.
I know its dumb but a lot of dumb things happen all the time. Why cant we have a dumb good thing happen sometimes.
-
Again, only valid 3 months.
-
no, if you are an EU citizen, you can stay in another country inside EU for more than 3 month. The only need is that you have to declare your new residence as a secondary residence for taxes.
-
Where do you get that 3 months from?

-
Size is not an issue for the Danes. Just look at Greenland.
-
Yes. This is fine for EU residents. For people who dont live in the EU, it makes holidays max out st 3 months.
-
People that have more 3 months of vacations per year have enough money to get investment visas.
-
Nope. That's not how backpacking works. You dont have a job. You live off savings. You live on a shoestring budget.
Or you have a job and do it part time while traveling around (eg remote teaching, therapy, etc)
