Is fediverse turning into reddit?

And you can do nothing to stop it. This is why no one likes lemmy. It's ok if you're just casual posting without a care in the world but as soon as you dig into the system you're powerless, you control nothing, you can delete nothing and racist creeps are actually kinda prevalent.
I post for a week and then I delete the account in disgust. Time to repeat the cycle.

Yeah. The big advantage of the fediverse is that "if you don't like it, leave" is practical advise instead of a way for the powerful to shut down arguments.

I mean, don't we still have The Fediverse Chick? What ever happened with that? She totally undoes, like, 7 weird DMs like this.
We had a community for the fediverse chick on our home instance. That went pretty bad, pretty fast. People there tried to find out who she is and where the spam is coming from. They ended up receiving disturbing gore in their DMs..

Prying into who has downvoted you is just not a healthy habit to get into. If you run your own instance, it's important to just never use that ability.
IMO, this is the kind of DM that is best ignored. I think most of us don't want these communities to work like that; don't give it any oxygen.
Unfortunately this one is hard to ignore, it's the sole mod of a large com.

I'm kinda sad it was all on piefed.social.
I mostly feel sad for power users like @[email protected] who did quite a bit of the posting over there.
Created [email protected] so that we have a place that insnt blocked to talk about new stuff in the fediverse. -

OP is also free to downvote however he pleases.
I just wanted OP to know that the way of his voting created 'Reddit'. If he wants to avoid it then the voting must change. There are powertripping mods and admins on Lemmy but the fediverse makes sure that that is not the problem.
