Pretty sure you could restrict / block those accounts and they would go away.

I opened a few accounts out of curiosity and didn't personally would not like to see it again. Cleared cache and reset settings from settings and re installed the app. But everytime I type a letter in the search bar it suggests the same accounts. I've tried clicking on accounts with similar spellings for the suggestions to go away but so far nothing works. Help would be appreciated

No, this is search history. I was asking about search suggestions and how to remove specific accounts

Did you try this though? I'm guessing the suggestions are at least partially based on past searches and this might nuke them.

Not permitted, they need that garbage to feed their AI powered garbage recommender.

Might change if you get a VPN and change servers. I'm assuming that the suggested accounts are based on location.

Just dont use Instagram. Thats one if the reasons why I was so satisfied after deleting my account on that platform. It very often showed me content that literally triggered my OCD or something in that direction.

There is no off button or stop button. They decide what your brain will emotionally experience against your will. Except you leave but thats hard on dopamine short circuits

I think this might be what you're looking for. I remember it got some attention when it was announced.

I deleted my account over ten years ago so I haven't tried this myself though.

Last time I checked, it depended on where you live and if the laws in that area require them to allow you to delete certain information. It's on the a cache thing, it's in your account. You can set up a new account, but if you use other Meta applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, etc, you may have to abandon those as well.

Might be possible to use a VPN or something to pretend to be in a country that they allow to have more detailed deletion of data, but I'm not totally sure if it's just your current location or if the account has to have been created in that location or of you can change your account-level location, etc.
