It seems to me that the date they had planned but did not announce has already been delayed many times. That's why they don't see any need to delay the announced date.

Had ome of the devs visit my office for wrok related business, gta6 is defo releasing this year, i asked them if they was working on another red dead.. he said hes not aloud to comment.. whatever that means

There's no way they would be allowed to tell you when the release date was.
