Bullying, berating Trump shows his worst self in Zelenskyy ambush
-
Trump and JD talked over him and berated him. When he was able to get a word in, they didn't even listen.

So long as we have strict elections of a singular position like president, you are pretty much going to have to vote for lesser evil. It doesn't matter how many parties are running, the president is a singular office.
Other nations with more robust parties sidestep this by having an elected body figure out the executive, rather than direct elections of that office.
if you want those third parties get them into the house and maybe the Senate, where the task is feasible. For the singular president of the nation, whoever is doing the voting will have to be strategic. I'm disenchanted when I see those parties just make a presidential run without really investing much in the down ballot races.
The fixes are either removing direct presidential election, or severely curtailing the practical powers of the office. We shouldn't be so subject to the whims of a singular position.

Ukraine beggars are rediculous
-
Nah, this wasn't democracy dying on live tv. They are saving that for 2026.
-
yes, but that is fully expected and Zelensky should have been prepared.
-
Prepared for what, a waste of time? Cause it didn't look like they even wanted to try to offer an actual deal.
-
Well, that happened after 40 minutes of civil discussion. And the thing that changed the way it was it was going was his undiplomatic response to Vance when he said the US has nice oceans, but it is going to feel the problem eventually. This is a rather stupid way of talking to Trump and his administration. If he did not succumb to the provocation it would not have happened.

I should watch West Wing some time, I have limited experience with it but am familiar with the premise.
You're right...I think a show inspired by the actual Whitehouse would be more like a "Real Housewives" situation. Gossip, screaming, backbiting, probably throwing stuff. . .and then they'd show outside the oval office itself lmao.
"Housewives" is also one I've got the general idea of but haven't watched, except this one I'm not going to bother with.
I remember the Netflix show Space Force poking fun at the new branch. It was silly, and goofy. (I mean, the legend, Steve Carell, c'mon haha.)
But it was light-hearted incompetence. Like people really wanting to make a difference but they were sabotaged and underfunded.
It's awful watching one of the most powerful offices in the entire world being run by spiteful ego-fueled monsters that just want to watch the world burn.
-
I would say nice troll but you are probably serious.
-
Fuck yeah. Heros like president Zelenskyy and his military. Heck even his citizens are hero’s for enduring all this crap. By the way, I think I like his style. Love the Ukrainian shield on his attire.
-
"I've seen stories" I think I recall him saying specifically.
The same guy who said "If I have to create stories, that's what I'm going to do."
Let's take one wild guess as to what, if any, super reputable source he gets these alleged "reports" from.

I was thinking the monkeys at the beginning of History Of the World Part 1 just banging....themselves silly.
-
This is the definition of delusional
it’s never your guys fault
even though from the perspective I see it, he was doing the same shit to put him in that corner to be defensive
-
Wait, are you upset your favourite orange sack of shit is the laughing stock of the world, while Zelenskyy is unanimously praised?
Aw.
-
LOL restraint! Zelensky was calm and cool while Vance and Trump came across as hysterical crybabies. I've heard better arguments from 8 year olds in a sandbox. Hilary called it when she said Trump was Putin's puppet.
-
Holy shit, Trump stopped the war on Day 1, just like he promised. What a genius of diplomacy. So american
-
You’re being ridiculous
-
So what should’ve been the answer to Vance’s proposal of “diplomacy”, in your opinion? Do you think he shouldn’t have questioned the validity of it, in spite of the precedents? Wouldn’t that just mean accepting the deal without any guarantee of protection like it happened before?
-
Too bad that in the US there’s three sides, two that support genocide and a third one which supports whoever gets the most votes out of the other two.
You literally can’t avoid “supporting genocide” in a FPTP system, refusing to choose just means letting others choose for you. And you can’t tell me in good faith that both outcomes were the same.
-
I agree! Regardless of what Zelensky critics say, I don’t think anyone can deny that Zelensky’s PR game is on point.
But yeah, as a Ukrainian living in the US, having to witness all of this go down is very difficult, to say the least. But that in now way compares to my relatives, who live in Ukraine under constant bomb threats, have to endure.
I wish some of these “aMeRiCa FiRsT” individuals understood this.
