But then you export less stuff, hurting your economy, while the US still exports just as much to you, so their economy does better. The counter tariffs are to make it less appealing for you to buy, and US exports go down.
In the end, everyone loses, but it needs to hurt them back to make them realize that.

I still hope Zelenskyy is coming here Friday to announce that they decided to take the deal from Germany, and Zelenskyy ends the press conference with a double bird for Trump. It won’t happen but man I would love Zelenskyy even more if he did.

I believe the German government holds the information about the loans/payments from Russia, through Cyprus, to Deutsche Bank and then to the orange stain.
