It’s more likely to be political apathy with the Brits. Most of us don’t seem to get and/or bother about politics…also only around 25% of the country were dense enough to vote for Brexit.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, fuck Musk. On the other hand, the US replacing huge fleets of gas vehicles with electric and building out all the attendant infrastructure would be a huge climate win.

Yeah you are probably right, as the saying goes: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
But them again Brexit was mostly about xenophobia, which is both. -

Absolutely, they've been praised for best range for the price, but the cars are crap, with 30% failing 4 year safety check in Denmark.
They also have a number of issues, on how functions are handled, both essential and non essential, that I personally suspect is the reason they have the worst accident record of all brands. Blinker on the steering wheel instead of on a stick, is OK in maybe 95% of the situations you need to use them, but the remaining 5% it's awkward and distracting, and maybe people completely fail to use them correctly.
So yes they are crap, in part because Tesla ignores safety or is even ignorant about why things are done like they are. And this is shown blatantly clear with the 4 years safety check here in Denmark. -
Correction: Android and apple carplay are just as worse, maybe even more so.
If you're not American it doesnt really matter. Your data in china or your data in the US. Both are bad, m'kay?

Yeah it's like when people from UK ask if there aren't any benefits? Oh yes there is, not as many as there are drawbacks, and unfortunately the benefits are all on the EU side.
Ah well, the Brits are still our friends, where would we be if it hadn't been for Monty Python? I suppose formal cooperation will be build up again over time, like we have with Norway. But it would have been better if Brexit had never happened, and that's on both sides IMO.
AfD in Germany also love Musk now that he has expressed support for them. There are idiots everywhere. -
Round about way to defund them, force them to spend funding on maintaining overpriced junk.

How is CarPlay just as bad? Apple said they’re not interested in your data or selling it and even anonymize the maps searches through their differential privacy method.
