This "immigrants with criminal records" bullshit has got me fuming.
Straight-up glazing over how many criminals were born here and live here and the multitudes of criminals here that haven't been caught. Commiting crimes doesn't disqualify a person from being human. Come on.

Not really, there are some Reformed Christians in Pennsylvania but they're not particularly concentrated there the way Quakers are.

Excuse me, they are called "the religious society of friends" which is awesome.

It's not like they're only going after people with criminal records. They just make sure always to mention that some have criminal records in order to associate immigrants with criminality in people's minds. They will do the same with every other group they target. See also their scare tactics about trans people and bathrooms. There are no actual problems around trans people's use of bathrooms, but the Republicans certainly want you to imagine there is, so they do everything they can to get people to imagine trans people do something odd in bathrooms.

The more noise a religious group makes, the more dodgy it tends to be. The USA is full of loud, hateful Christian groups. Quakers are quiet.

My grandfather was a Quaker too, and my grandmother was not as well. She was Amish but grew up kind of outside the Amish community, she spoke only Pennsylvania German into her teens when she learned English.
Much like your dad, mine could use some beatings.

The Trump administration is seeking to crack down on illegal immigration. The president made immigration a central theme of his successful campaign for office, and Americans largely support his mass deportation plans.
Could you suck his dick any harder?

The vast, vast majority of violent criminals in the U.S. are citizens.

You might be thinking of Shakers. I used to confuse them too. The Shakers all died out because they all took a vow of celibacy. Morons.

They’re the same ones the Nazis used against Jews in the 1930s-40s.
And the same ones the Nazis used against trans people and immigrants in the 1930s-40s, too, for that matter.
Like, what they're doing isn't even just 'reminiscent' of Nazis; it's literally identical. There is no wiggle room or superficial difference to seize upon to try to deny it, although I'm sure the fascist apologist concern trolls will still try.

Time to build bookcases in our homes and workplaces to hide parts of the house so our fellow humans have a safe place away from the hands of the fascists.
Here's an example:

I'm not religious in the slightest, but if there's any one sect of Christianity I find remotely "BASED", it's the Quakers. Instances like this, the fact that they're anti-war as well, that's just cool as hell. They seem to be the only group that practices what they preach. Also, John K Samson from The Weakerthans is a Quaker, so that's a bonus in my book

Being a bit pedantic here, but the president cannot change the law as the article asserts.

It's interesting being anti-war here in the US. Everyone hates us. Both sides.
