Go under every news about Palestine on lemmy.world. You will not find anything about palestinians. You will find endless debates about the last american elections. Americans don't think of foreigners as human, supremacism is deeply engrained in their culture there, even in their so-called left.
They don't give a shit about palestine, they just care about themself. They were perfectly happy throwing foreigners under the bus, all they wanted is not to have to fight fascism themself.
Now they are more upset about their election than the fact their country is commiting genocide. They were fine with america bombing arab countries under Obama. Biden was fine with the Iraq war. They don't care about foreigners at all. Everything is about them and them only.

You can't make the survival of democracy hinge on everybody having to vote for you because else it would be getting even worse. You actually have to present an option that promises that things get better. Significantly even, since most people in the US are absolutely struggling.

As voters we had the opportunity to prevent fascism for four more years by voting for neoliberals. This would have given progressives and socialists another opportunity to co-opt the Democrat party. The failure of the Democrats to provide a compelling alternative does not mean we should be complicit in our own destruction and allow fascists to murder us.
