Trump says Palestinians have ‘no alternative’ but to leave Gaza

Truly Democrats failed yet again, but here you are blaming Muslims.

What did Palestine expect the outcome of Oct 7th to be? What was that intended to accomplish, vs what actually happened?

I agree. But you'll get attacked for saying things like that. Look at all the downvotes from people that are pro-genocide.

Netanyahu was smirking the whole time. No one is going to stop him.

No, Trump said we'll send Americans to find the unexploded bombs & die on behalf of Israel, pay to rebuild Gaza on behalf of Israel & then let Israelis live there and we get to pay for it.

Yeah, I've blocked them. I can tell, at minimally, they were not interested in any good faith discussion.

As long as trump gets a new golf course and hotel, I don't think he really cares.

Yeah I try not to block since it lets people still comment on your stuff unheeded and without response but it is far better for mental health to just block and not deal with it. They do not handle conversation well and a lot of the louder Lemmings view conversations as a winner takes all brawl for superiority through mob support of upvotes.
Just so you know FlyingSquid is also one of the largest posters on lemmy.world and you may see less if you stick to .world communities.

Rewrite your comment except make it about "the Jews" re: the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. How does it sound when you frame it that way?

And who decided to deliver all the weapons to Israel between Oct. 2023 and Jan. 2025?
Biden sent over 17,000,000,000 $ worth of bombs to Israel. And that is just the material, not counting the US running surveillance and target acquisitions, the diplomatic cover etc.
If that is not enough to convince you that Biden wanted this genocide as much as Trump, then how much more would the US have had to send under Biden? Would you have changed your mind at 20,000,000,000 ? 50,000,000,000 ?
During Bidens presidency Israel murdered at least 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza, more realistically a 100,000-300,000 that cannot be accounted for anymore because Israel annihilated the health system in Gaza.
If that does not convince you, how many more Palestinians would have had to be murdered under Biden, for you to consider that Biden wanted this genocide as much as Trump?
90% of buildings in Gaza are destroyed or seriously damaged. All hospitals are either destroyed or seriously damaged. The entire water and waste-water infrastructure got systematically destroyed, most schools got destroyed, all universities got destroyed. Again all of this happened during Bidens presidency, with the full support from the US.
If that does not convince you, how much more of Gaza would have needed to be destroyed, for you to consider that Biden wanted to destroy Gaza? 110% 140%?
There is only 100% that can be destroyed and Israel already managed to destroy more than 90% of all civilian infrastructure, during Bidens term.Trump is picking off where Biden left things. But the idea that Biden somehow didnt create what Trump is working off now, cannot be based on what actually happened since October 2023 with the full support of Bidens administration.

Remove both sides from power, and stop thinking in the box of "we are given the choice of two evils and choose the lesser one." No! Break the box and remove the people from power who only offer evils as choice.
If people didn't fall over backwards to defend the Democrats and pushed for a third party instead, if there had been more protests, if there had been direct actions against arms manufacturer and other complicit companies, the US might had reevaluated its support for the genocide. And these things still need to be done. The solution does not come from either the Republicans or Democrats, who both supported and still support the genocide of Palestinians, like they both supported the mass slaughter of Iraqis and Afghanis, like they both supported the mass slaughter of Vietnamese, like they both supported the genocide of native Americans...

No, you theoretically have to flee because of the fascists that have taken power. The fascists are your enemy. I don't want them in power, I just recognize why they are now.

Theoretically? Again, I literally did it. On inauguration day.
You are not even reading my posts.

You did flee. There aren't gay concentration camps and shit or executive orders targeting anyone just being gay (trans yes). Theoretically is on the 'need'

Do you know how many years it took from Hitler becoming chancellor to the Final Solution?
Seven.
Seven years.
Presumably you would have told any fleeing Jew or Roma or queer person when Hitler took power that the genocide was only theoretical, so they had no need to escape.
Quite the position of privilege you're in.

Americans have no choice but bring Trump to justice STAT.

Says the person privileged enough to flee the country and also not be on the receiving end of a genocide.
I am privileged, correct. Doesn't change the analysis. -

It most certainly doesn't change my analysis that you have no compassion for queer and brown people facing a genocide since you still have expressed none for them, and now are implying that there isn't even a danger.

Oh we are absolutely doing 'the first solution', the 'Madagascar plan' for undocumented people right now. Ice is a modern day gestapo. We already are concentrating people in gitmo. I think concern for gay folk is a little overblown, right now. Trans people are obviously the next concern after migrants. These things are real and happening. It's fascist shit. I don't want this, I don't know why you're implying I don't care.
