Not to disrespect the amazing achievements of the Finn’s in that war, but they lost, and lost half their country.
In actual reality, we lost 9% of our territory to USSR due to WW2.

Exactly, theres no way this triggers WW3 unless Canada starts working more closely with China immediately and even then it's unlikely China goes to bat for Canada. Western countries have gotten way too comfortable with the US.

I wonder if he's gonna give Alaska to the Russians.

They should form a North American Union, like the EU. Unfortunately, Trump would never do something like that, because he's stuck in the 19th century.

Do the military pledge their loyalty to the country or to the POTUS?

Canadians and honestly most of the world hate American healthcare and gun laws.

That's why he's after Greenland, he thinks it's as big as the whole USA from your regular mappae mundi.

That's something that's been on my mind lately. I wouldn't be able to hide anyone in my home or lay low because I've been vocal about my beliefs my whole life. I've been to more than enough protests to know there's some sort of facial recognition on me, and I've been vocal enough online in recorded social media. The state of surveillance and tech advances in this age is going to make it difficult for anyone to organize and support each other. There's almost no way to stay off the radar and everyone has a cell phone and smart speaker at home listening to their every word.

Yeah. US is like a big brother that has been sniffing the wrong things and is starting to have psychotic episodes with a threat of violence.

The higher priority, according to the oath, is to protect the US Constitution from foreign and domestic enemies. Yes, domestic too.

You are underestimating the power of modern propaganda, especially now that AI is in the mix. Custom reality for anyone.

The Canadians and Canadiens should start thinking about their military purchases. Do you rely on a neighbor who is constantly threatening you with a trade war and annexation? Nope. The Orange Fuck-up will end up destroying the US MIC export business and their will be some pissed off wealthy people with deep connections.

Absolutely... Then there's the chilling effect that comes with it. People not even attempting to organize because they know what can happen if they do.

One state with 200 representatives and 1/3rd of the electoral votes... smart.

I'm guessing it would be broken up into smaller territories.

This is delusional. Who is going to intervene? With what military? What country has an expeditionary force that can best the US Navy, sail across an ocean, and then confront the US Army and Air Force on America's home turf? China? They've been building up for years with the hope of being able to stand up to the US, in the waters directly off the Chinese coast.
The idea that anyone could invade the US is delusional. Also, the US has 5000 thermonuclear weapons. No one is invading the US mainland. No one is invading mainland China. No one is invading Russia. Big nuclear powers are immune to invasion on their core territory.
Again, it's easy to tut tut about nuclear bombs. But they sure have done a good job at preventing more world wars between the great powers.

Yep, I would bear arms against any who cross that border with ill intentions. They step foot across, and they're pulling a stump back.

The UK does have the bomb but doesn't have missiles to launch it. They are "renting" missiles to the US.
So France is the only country left, but I'm sure France will be extremely happy to help against the US!
