What was your last “impulse buy” and was it worth it?

I was like you. Both are great your over thinking it. 575 I think has a slightly less rounded curve but trust its nothing to worry about. I swap between both with ease. Matter of fact. I love the 570 sometimes but my hand arch started to get worn out after hours of use. 575 has less of an arch and relaxes the wrist a tad more.
I got an MX Ergo. It's godfuckingawful. The M570 looks back at you so your thumb rests forward of the centerline of the ball. The Ergo looks to the side like a lobotomized beluga so your thumb rests on the centerline of the ball reducing the comfortable range of vertical travel. It also developed a nasty case of leprosy, the skin started to blister and peel, so rubber wrapped devices from Logitech are dead to me forever. I just...I've been soldering new click switches into my little herd of 570s because Logitech is really bad at electronics and they used inappropriate switches that wear out prematurely so I've been fixing it instead of buying anything else from them because I am a severely petty man but they're starting to fail in ways I don't know how to fix.

wrote last edited by [email protected]I've got a bad right click on my 570 and it's years old. That's part of what caused me to get a 575. That and work I needed something good rather than a traditional mouse.
Edit: get a 575 you will make concessions but given your ergo trust me it's worth doing. Retire those 570s!

Digital copies of the entire run of the Girl Genius webcomic. Very worth it.
Is that finished or still ongoing?

Fancy jar of honey from the grocery store for me. Tasted pretty good.
A used Wii-U in immaculate condition. Windwaker is one of my favorite games, and it's even better in HD. $48.

Baulders Gate 3. No, I can't stay awake more than like 10 mins if I play
I would pay for BG3 ten times over if it worked that well

....a home gym. As much as it has destroyed my budget for the remainder of the year and more than likely next year, it is absolutely worth it.

I just bought a cordless stick vacuum, which can also mop. It was on a good discount (450€ -> 150€) and I've been thinking of getting something like that for a while. I don't necessarily need it, but it has been a very great tool since I have people come over every week and I have a child and there are spills of food and drinks. It really cleans up well and mops the floor also. 10/10 would recommend.

What? How can this vacuum clean carpet? Or is this something like a tineco floor washer?

I have the same problem with marvels midnight suns.

I checked the tineco and seems like it's pretty similar. I have a robo vacuum also and it handles the carpets like a champ, so they work pretty well in tandem. The robovac also mops, but for cleaning spills the stick vacuum is faster and easier to use. I hate cleaning (don't know many who loves it tbh) so every bit that makes it easier is a win for me.

An adorable plushie

How do you introduce these things to a more shy and very vanilla partner?
Watch the 50 Shades trilogy and be open in the relationship from the very beginning so you're not afraid to say what you feel, or ask if any of that would be something they'd like to do.

Kindle. Best fucking piece of tech I own.

Onewheel pint off FB marketplace for $300.
Showed up, turned it on and the light came on without any issues and the tire was deflated (neglected for a few years bc the guy bought a new one. Also the guy was a dad who died, so his son was selling it.) I assumed it worked. Got home, tried to start it, and I bonked the pavement with the front. Apparently the sensor was broken and it costed $150 to replace.
is it worth it? for 300, yes 100%. for 500.. ehhhhh.
edit: also thinking of starting a sub about onewheels
Are you sure the front sensor doesn't work at all, or is it just finicky? Have you tried pitting a small furniture pad on each side of the front pad to focus your food pressure?

Demon's Tilt on the Switch. I'd been vaguely interested in it for a while and it was on sale for $10. I played a little and enjoyed it but I think it's gonna be one of those things I have to be in the mood for, and I'm just not today. I've spent $10 on dumber things, so no, I don't regret it.

Not sure, haven't had time to read it yet.

I've gotten really into radio over the past year or so. The most practical usage I've gotten is a few FRS radios (licence free walkie talkies, like what we used as kids basically) at a renn fest that has no cell service and at a pride event when someone didn't wanna take their phone to a porta potty (better to risk accidentally drop a $10 radio into the toilet than an expensive smart phone with all your pictures).
Our RenFest is also super spotty with cell coverage, so that’s nice. GMRS uses the same bands as FRS, so they’re compatible, but GMRS allows 1) Removable antennas for better coverage 2) More power (FRS 2 vs 50 watts on GMRS) 3) Repeaters for very wide coverage (I hear people talking from 60+ miles away on a local repeater once in a while).
The radios are more expensive, starting around $20 but the benefits are pretty nice.
