It's dedicated for weeds but I'm not clear why I would need to. There's nothing toxic/harmful to people or animals in it.

Mostly just a dull safety step. You know what it was used for but some unsuspecting person may come along and use it (maybe you were hit by a meteor) for some other chemical that may react with the leftover herbicide residue.

But, practically, different herbicides can be used to selectively target specific weeds. You don't want to be trying to treat dicots but still have some monocot-affecting herbicide or, even worse, glyphosate left over in the tank/pump.

Makes sense. I really only spray in the fenced yard and because we have dogs that have free access and we live in a protected area along the Mississippi River I make my own that's pet and wildlife safe.

It's a gallon of vinegar, cup of salt and a tablespoon of dish detergent.

There’s not much that kills weeds that doesn’t have some impact on humans, animals, or particularly fish.

I don't read German but it's just a mix of white vinegar (Weißer Essig), salt (Tafelsalz), and dish soap (Spülmittel).

OK thanks. I remember putting diluted vinegar on the soil of my house plants against a certain type of fly breeding there.

"Nettle broth" is more a fertiliser anyhow.

That's a good combo to use frequently.

I pretty much only use dish detergent and, separately, a copper fungicide. Florida humidity and rain combines to create some mean fungal infections and I'm near a sinkhole/spring so I, too, have to be careful of runoff.

Probably every day we have lots of sun this week. A single spraying isn't usually enough.

I don't understand. I'm the one living here. It's also about 65 ppt salinity which should be fine for targeted application. Certainly better than the actual salt that comes out of spreader trucks half the year here.

Thanks! You, unlike my neighbors, might have appreciated what I did to the front yard the first year after we bought our house.

I killed all the grass, raked it up and put down dutch clover instead. Nobody on the street seemed to like the dead and brown lawn the first year but I hate mowing.
