Dog's mind vs cat's mind

Only cats sleep?
My dogs sleep at least sixteen hours a day.

What do your dogs do in 8hrs that make them THIS tired?

Mine too. I guess they left it out of the graphic for dogs though.

Hey cats have a “Love” section just as big as the dog’s!
Well, almost as big. Relatively big. And it’s reserved for a very select audience. Who have made it through the multiple tests of loyalty and servitude.
Also, it is subject to repeal at random times for no reason, which is not appealable. Of course, if you go out of town and come back, you forfeit all your progress and have to start over at level 1.

I don't think that's universally true. Back when my partner had recently moved in with me, we found one of those pet spas to leave their cat at as we had to go out of town (terrible idea, in retrospect, and current me would say it would've been better for her to just have had someone come by the house to periodically check on her but not the point of this story).
Due to scheduling of when we got back, my partner stayed home while I went to pick up the cat; as soon as I got there, she came out the room crying and I thought she was coming to greet me but she sped past me and went around the outside room, still crying, and searching.
There is nothing on Earth that will convince me that she wasn't determinedly looking for my partner. That cat loves them and, while she expresses affection in the sort of stereotypical cat way (unlike our boy who has designated times, every day, he comes over to be fawned over), she would be devastated to lose my partner (or me, at this point, I like to think). She likes her space and for there to be a certain level of protocol followed when it comes to interaction but there's no doubt in my mind that she's very ingrained-ly attached.

Given how incredibly protective my cat is of my toddlers, there is definable a love and loyalty section. He even lets my 1 year old use him as a monster truck ramp, for some reason.

The ? is cat-related activities, like midnight zoomies and knocking things off of tables.
I was thinking of summarizing all of those activities under "chaos"

Bullshit. It's painfully obvious that this was either written by a dog person or is using a tired stereotype to get clicks and make an easy joke.
I usually like Pizzacake.

My cats are more like:

Mine has a dedicated "occupy lap" section too, also for a select audience.

I like to refer to it as the Love/Murder segment.

I like her feet

Probably because pizzacake attracts brigading on Lemmy for weird reasons that I don't understand?
Because of her spicy feet pics

Dogs are more domesticated than cats, hence they care about more things that humans care about than cats. Cats, despite being only slightly less domesticated, still retain more of their sense of independence - though it sometimes feels like they are just kidding themselves - like they know deep down they aren't wildcats prowling a jungle, eating only what they kill, but they like to maintain that mental image.

Charts like these are a reminder that people don't understand cats as well as I would like
A cat does all the same things a dog does, they just don't give it away for free. You gotta earn the respect, more like you would a person!
My cats follow me from room to room, love being held, love to play, and all sorts of good stuff
Its just base level pet tribalism for the sake of a cheap comic perpetuating a stereotype beaten to death. "my choice in non-human species as extended family is better than YOURS!". All conscious entities have a unique combination of emotional understanding and relationship building over time, most higher thinking social animals understand the concept of affection and bonding.
The difference is cats didnt have the same evoltionary pressures to essentially force affection and bonding drive on a species wide level. Some cats are cold and distant who at most will only allow a quick pet, some are warm and cuddly giving hugs. Thats personality for you.
Meanwhile almost all dogs are compulsively clingy and protective its deeply engrained into pretty much all breeds unconscious instincts. Some are only friendly with known family not allowing strangers to bond but If you are family in their eyes youre pretty much set.
The only real advantage dogs have over cats is they are good active tracking/ hunting partners with the right breed. Also bigger ones are lethal to their last breath which makes the neurotically scared and anxious people feel safe.
You know what dog owners never want to talk about though? The fucking poop. Dogs poop everywhere in the back yard and just about every dog owner Ive ever known is too lazy to pick it up making their back yards pretty much undesirable for social activities or to have children run around playing. Also depending on the breed, the separation anxiety that causes them to go berserk and rip up trashcans and furniture.

100% Dog Brain: How to lick owner when they not looking

Sounds like you're an unlikable person if your cat doesn't like you and the only thing you can get to like you is your dog. "Sadge" as the kids say
-
My cats are both ridiculously loving, it's almost a problem lmao
