[Axis do not start at 0] - Monthly active users on Lemmy above 46k for the first time since as least October 2024

Long live Lemmy!
-
I am having the feeling that there’s been a lot more activity the last couple of months
-
I’m doing my part!
-
Same here.
A lot of threads up until some weeks ago felt kinda barren, because there were no or little interactions in the comment sections.
Now things are starting to feel more lively, engaging and interesting, because comments provide additional background and/or counter-arguments - and sometimes just good old stupid fun.
-
You don't have to have a feeling. The data is right there.
Looks like it was 43k active users at the lowest and 46k active users at the highest. That's almost a whole 7%. So if that's your definition of a "lot more activity" then sure!
-
We’re gonna beat 53k!
-
On global switch day I'm pretty sure I convinced at least 1 person to try out mastodon but not sure
I'm doing my part too!
-
Active users does not say how active. E.g. your active users could be less and less, but if 10% leave and the remaining 90% increase their activity by 20%, you end up with an 8% overall increase.
And in winter people stay inside more, so with all these metrics we should probably adjust for seasons.

I haven't been back on reddit since the IPO, I'm proud I was able to hold out...
-
Me makin posts and comments on lemmy with a fervor that suggests I believe I am personally the one moving the whole damn line myself up on engagement.

Well done, thank you!
