@Mastodon my hot take is that while I wouldn’t trust a binding arbitration clause with a large corporation, I trust Mastodon and I don’t think they would ever abuse it. I think it’s more of a defense against detrimental lawsuits from big tech rivals. That being said, I think there must be a better way to implement this to keep good standing with users since some were turned off by it.

Next steps should be talking to people STEEPED in libre software, open culture, etm like @richardfontana @bkuhn @pluralistic et all could be immensely helpful in this process. I wouldn't leave this up to the same ilk that the corporate social media companies use.
