Dammit!
Anon is totally gay, but the realness present in this text has broken my brain.
Also, that song is still fucking awesome.

I could fart in a rhythm and it would be more musical than the entire discography of imagine dragons.
Nah, tastes are different and since enjoyment of music is 100% subjective everyones opinion is equally valid.

Is this happening anywhere outside US? Because every American radio station, TV program, podcast etc. seems to be fiiled to the brim with these annoying sound effects, ads, and with obnoxious testoreone imbued speaker.
And I don't remember encountering it anywhere in Europe.

It has been a long time since I listened to popular radio. I don't remember it being this annoying, but I think there were also sound effects (German radio).

You'll get the odd station elsewhere that peppers in a sound effect or two, but this kind of faceroll on the soundboard is a uniquely American radio station thing in my experience

I haven't listened to radio in >10 years, but back in the day they had a bunch of pre-recorded station ID messages like this in Germany, France and some African countries.

Iāve never listened to much radio but I have a distinct memory of drinking in a bar in Dominican Republic and hearing air horn sfx throughout the night

i dont remember many sound effects, but the testosterone imbued speaker is definitely in one of the big privately-owned rock radios in germany.
one thing that always annoyed me tho is when stations play snippets of really good music in their announcements or adverts, and then resume to playing the boring songs they played the last 3 hours.

Yeah I think every radio station uses these pre-recorded snippets, but they are usually rather mild and they serve to remind you that "yup, you're still listening to our radio btw, ok bye"

You still hear music on FM radio and not just ads the entire 20 minute car ride?
