Looking for a free speech Lemmy instance
-

-
What about the one with that privacy community that got vetoed?

I'm unsure if there is an instance like that especially as you can't force for something is completely open to anything being said from federating with everyone. You are probably better off creating your own Lemmy server tbh.
-
I'd be happy with majority federation and free speech like how I defined in my edit.

What is wrong with the instance you are currently on if I may ask?
The word Free Speech is often used to allow for hate / bigotry towards minorities in current day. So it'll good to know what you are actually looking for. -
-
The instance you are imagining will inevitably be inundated with the output of spambots. You don't want a completely unmoderated instance because it will just not be an enjoyable place (even for you! even for people who have no problem with getting exposed to "hate speech"!) to hang out on.
I think lemm.ee defederates from very little, that is the closest I know of, but I see that that's already where you are, so I can't help you much more than that.
-
your concept of free speach is just bullshit, that's all
-
From the lemm.ee sidebar "No bigotry"
-
Don't think bigotry means what ur think it means https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/bigotry
-
Depends how u define hate/bigotry. Nothing wrong yet, I have a community on db0 but have been told to move cos I agreed with and didn't silence someone saying they beloved trans women have an advantage in sport. Im looking for an instance that let's speech go as long as it isn't calling for violence or hate.
-
Your own instance. But don't complain if you get defederated
-
Most instances don't allows spread of misinformation especially about minorities such as trans people. You'd be better off creating your own instance if you want to have 100% control over what you see.
For more information about that topic here's an article about it: https://www.gendergp.com/new-report-confirms-trans-athletes-do-not-have-biomedical-advantage-in-elite-sport/ -

There is no such thing as βfree speech friendlyβ. Free speech is not absolute, and is defined / restricted differently across countries. So different instances will have to comply with their different local laws.
Also: an instance allowing comments doesnβt mean there wonβt be consequences. For example: you can criticise the Thai royal family all you want on a US based instance, but donβt ever show your face in Thailand after doing that if you value your freedom.

That was the one. Oh well, I'm outta ideas then. The Fediverse in general is a very trans safe community.
