I’m struggling. There are very few guides.

One issue is it seems the physical ports and Luci ports are not the same number.

Would appreciate any guides or tips

Yeah, I was able to set it up using the openwrt interface luci. Just ignore the other stuff, experiment in luci until you dial it in

I'm not sold on GLinet's implementation of OpenWRT. I have 3 of them in production, and all three need regular reboots to stay working. I like the VPN interface they have and the ability to get to the underlying Luci interface, but I've found just flashing my own device to have a more stable and deterministic result.

I can't speak to VLANs in specific, because I haven't trusted them enough after seeing the rest of it to use it anywhere critical enough that I use VLANs.

I bought two AXT1800's for down at a family members house (main router + other on a Powerline in AP mode) and they have no complaints.

While I can't speak for having to reboot them often since a few months ago I told them to schedule a reboot through the night, weekly, and I find them one of the cleanest router interfaces especially on mobile.

The timezone is different to your browser is my main qualm with them which I can't seem to solve 😕

We've bought ~20 of small glinets for testing purposes there were zero problems as long the plastic shell was off, with shell on they had cooling problems, but that's about it.
