Yes. England (and the rest if the UK) was build on exporting ideas and people. Ideas like education, law, science.
Now England is in a new century which is importing ideas from the rest of the world. It doesn't seem to be going as well.
The Witchcraft Act 1735 finally concluded prosecutions for alleged witchcraft in England.
The 1800's in England was more enlightenment than current England. God help us all.
