It's objectively worse from a profit standpoint, so I can definitely see them disappearing outside of secondhand sales

Not a night, but my group of friends will pick a theme like 80s fantasy movies of 40s noirs, and put together 8ish films, with a mix of classics and more obscure choices. You've got the week to watch the movie, then at the weekend we send our thoughts / review. Generally come up with a set of review criteria, our TieDyeFuturism: 70s sci-fi season had stuff like "The Real Monster is... MAN", "Virtually Indistinguishable from Magic" and "A woman on the Bridge?!"

Making immigration more difficult already benefits the wealthy. Not having birthright citizenship won't change that. I think you're misinterpreting my intentions. I believe that making immigration and citizenship easier is best. I just also believe that Jus Soli is an ineffective band-aid solution, that doesn little to help the common man. I'm not informed enough to be very specific in execution, but in my mind, immigration should be extremely generous. Ideally, I'd say it should be effectively unlimited, but I know there are economic considerations that need to be taken into account, such as the rate of housing construction. That said, I don't feel confident enough to outline specifics beyond that. I have nothing against immigrants or immigration. Its purely citizenship, and the political power it involves specifically that I believe shouldn't be given out based on geographic location at one instant alone. Given that its effectively giving you power to change how the country is run, it should be given to those who are directly affected by how the country is run. Ideally, I'd almost want a system where someone can't be more invested in a different country, although again, I'm not sure about specifics. Prehaps something along the lines of a limit of how much property can be owned outside the country relative to within the country, so regular people qualify easily, but someone can't get citizenship while they own a dozen houses elsewhere. Again, I'm not an expert, and not trying to advocate for a specific solution, just that immigration be made easier and citizenship shouldn't be something you can buy. Edit: fixed a couple typos.

If I'm going for an unsettling bleakness maybe slow noir jazz like bohren and der club of gore, or something faster and jarring maybe clown core, or just esoteric and made to be unapproachable like infant annihilator or knocked loose

I only know two major leftwing groups on india (as I am not from there). They are relatively international but they report on domestic new often as well iirc CPI(ML) CPI(M) CPI(M) has shown itself tp be relatively chauvinistic at times but they are alright in most cases.

Outer Wilds might not work well if you play sporadically, I think a big part of the joy is piecing together everything you've seen and grasping the connections and bigger picture... But who knows. Mindustry might work well though, it's much simpler on the factory mechanics, but ties them into tower defense and RTS, needing to supply towers with ammo, and later supply factories with the right materials to create units. It's FOSS, available for free from some official sources. And importantly, sectors are mostly isolated, meaning you can take it one mission at a time, bringing a few resources to kickstart things and building a new setup every time. Also, hard read on the tycoon games, I love playing OpenTTD with friends, though I lament the lack of something better than cargo distribution to require us to provide supply to the actual demand (as opposed to being paid to shunt passengers/cargo to the most convenient location). That said, I never really did any calculations in that, especially since supply and demand can change rather dynamically.
