Doctor Who had the best idea for time travel stories: you can travel in time, but not change anything meaningful. Though even they broke that rule too often for my liking and had some trouble with paradoxes. Thankfully this game seems to take more combat queues from Bioshock and Dishonored. Bloodlines combat is janky as hell, but you at least have some fun disciplines that can make short work of it. Arcanum combat is truly atrocious.

I played through the base game years ago and loved it. I tried getting into it again recently and... well, apparently I'm too much of a graphics snob now to play a game this dated. When did this happen to me? I should be able to play old games...

Headline: in short, even great, beloved, skilled people get rejected. Article: more her telling you about the voice acting experience. I can definitely say as a not-great actor who voice acted in a small indie game that shall remain unnamed for the sake of my internet privacy, I also took my theatre skills to voice acting, although I had no motion-capture going on And hey, at least the headline isn't wrong and it's uplifting for lots of people. Tale as old as time, but new kids growing up need to hear it with names they know too. Also, thanks for the crosspost to baldurs_gate_3!

I'll never understand the point of taking a turn based system and adapting it to real time. Why not just take a system that was designed for real time? They have to rebalance everything and then only thing left from DND is lore. Are they doing it just for the lore? Fine I guess, but it always feels like a cash grab. I loved the puzzle with the pattern, it reminded me of Zelazny's Amber because it's shamelessly taken from there, and I think it works well. The best thing in the video is the music director explaining the decisions behind music design and character themes. I'm sure other games do similar things but I rarely notice them. So it's good to be explicitly told about it to be able to appreciate this aspect.

Any RPGs (cRPG, JRPG) and RPG adjacent (ARPG RPG-lite) discussions/demo/previews/review are welcome in this community. The sidebar implies this, I will edit it to make it a bit more explicit. This might change if we get more MAUs, but we can discuss this when we get there.

Good move. Accessibility options are great, and your "Story" mode should actually be for the people who just want the story.
