It's most likely something to do with the config file of the panel. Delete this file: ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc Then restart.

As for actual kernel anticheat software siphoning out data, again, it's something that we should not immediatly dismiss... The lack of evidence is not entirely on either side of this sudden 'you vs. me' Acxiom does sell a package of "Gaming" data. Probably coming from mobile phones for the most part, since that's where most Studios are more aggressive (even towards children, see Tilting Point Media LLC settlement last year) Again, knowing which Studios are selling data (identifiable or not) is impossible if no Court interferes. I was only trying to make the point that it is feasible... That's why I referred you to recall that "capitalism bad yadda yadda.."

From the usage section on their github: Currently Virtual Display support is Windows only, Linux support is planned and will be implemented in the future.

I already have some issues with my public tone sounding... Too official. Using the em-dash just makes it seem like I might be a bot. I'm not going to bother with that.

Thanks for your response! Makes sense, I had not heard of Low Framerate Compensation.

And I was using only X in Game mode because that is how you open it in desktop mode.

I don’t think game streaming is ever going to take off the way they want it to, especially when things like the switch exist. Internet is just too crappy in too many places for it to ever be a better experience than a console, or in many cases a phone.

Hmmm... Depends on Steam DRM, access to electricity, and concentration of radiation. Should be quite usable in ideal conditions after the nukes go off.

Seems like things are functional now. I imagine the servers got hit hard during the start of the sale.

Posted my response below to a similar comment in our discord server. Wanted to repost it here as I thought it was also relevant. Thank you for the feedback. While the GOG extension information was available on our website, we acknowledge it hadn’t been clearly highlighted. We’ve now made the full Decky-related content live on the site. It took us a bit longer than planned to migrate everything from the old site and the current wiki, as we wanted to ensure nothing was lost or overlooked in the process. Before pushing it live, we took the time to review and check all content to make sure links were working, the information was accurate, and everything was easy to read and navigate. Our aim has been to bring everything together in one clear, accessible place. That said, the same information has remained available and actively shared throughout - via our community wiki, in weekly Games Tested posts on Reddit, and through Discord. We understand it might not have been obvious to everyone, and that’s on us. We’re now working to make sure this kind of info is more consistently surfaced across all platforms, especially the main site. Please also keep in mind that there are only two of us working on this project - and as you can imagine, we’re stretched pretty thin. While our developer focuses on building and improving Junk Store itself, I’ve been handling everything else: site updates, documentation, community support, and general project coordination. It’s been a steep learning curve, especially since my background is actually in high school teaching - specifically PE, Health, and Outdoor Ed. We genuinely appreciate the feedback and are always looking to improve how we communicate and present information. If anything is still unclear or hard to find, we’d love to hear about it. Your input helps us ensure users don’t miss important updates, and that we’re growing in the right direction.

Very nice. Also thanks for reporting back. Yes, in Linux filenames and extensions are case sensitive, unlike in Windows. Most programs (including Windows itself) treat lowercase and uppercase in filenames as the same thing. And because most developers and users are on Windows, they are used to it this way. So on Linux we have to take extra care and in some cases rename files. Next would be to learn how to swap a Disc when the game asks to. I mean for games that are multi-disc, in case you play other games too: https://docs.libretro.com/guides/disc-swapping/ And I also recommend the official forum of RetroArch too, to ask questions if you have any (I am there too ;-)): https://forums.libretro.com/ Because there are lot of engaged users who know RetroArch pretty good and even developers of RetroArch and some cores respond and help there too. Have fun with Final Fantasy Tactics (one of my alltime favorites). BTW the game was announced to have a remaster.

I'd settle for that solution anyways, but only as long as users can still mix and match kernels (one for secure boot and games that require anti-cheat, and another for custom hardware)
