Buying a shit ton of your own cars to then claim the government rebate for EVs, but still having those cars available for sale is fraud.

If you couldn’t suss out the obvious sarcasm, it might be time to go offline for awhile and recalibrate.

4 dealerships total were involved, so 1200 was probably the lesser of the 4.

It's a level of obvious sarcasm, so obvious that if it weren't sarcasm, people would rally together to hunt them down like the dogs they are.

Officials are now reviewing the Tesla sales data to determine if any irregularities occurred during the program’s final days.
8,600 Teslas
4 Locations in 3 days (one reported 1,200 sales in one day)
$43 mil in rebates ($4 mil in one day)Let’s be generous and say the cheapest Tesla is $40k before any rebates. That’s $344 mil in sales, with an average of 2,150 Teslas per day.
I’m pretty sure it’s obvious there are irregularities.

It's just the kind of shit a con would say just to fuck with people

Cons wouldn't use the phrase "single mother working three jobs".

Yall got reading issues. It says one of the dealerships sold 1200 in a single day.

Later in the story it mentions registrations. I wonder if they just registered a heap of them shortly after the government said they were likely going to pause the rebates but before they did. I wonder if all that is now effectively stock they can sell but with the rebate?
Should be investigated either way. -

I suppose they can offload a lot of them into the ocean or something like that. But still too fast.

If he's under investigation there, he'll probably never visit Canada again.

Yes, keep on reminding people how much better Canada is. And, unlike oil, this kind of better can't be exported by invading.

8600 from 4 dealerships in 3 days, or 12 dealership-days. So, about 700 per dealership per day on average. The 1200 in one day is likely the max, which is typical for these kind of statements.
