A metaphor for capitalism?

I'm not one to kink shame so go for it.

My fella here wasting their time and energy defending the system that's currently destroying earth and supporting the genocide of Palestinians
If people here were saying racist shit about Palestinians I'd be arguing with them. I don't see that happen on this site, but I see there's a bit of an antisemitism problem and that's something someone needs to address. When people get into a bubble like this and are constantly doing stochastic terrorism talk, some fucked up things can happen if no one pipes in to make people consider they might be going off the rails a little bit.
So I'm taking a break from countering racism and stochastic terrorism on this site to poke some fun at some leftists in a shitpost thread.
Is this really the best forum to discuss genocide? If you're looking at my comment history, maybe just reply to one of the comments where that's already being discussed. Well if you can get in a reply before my comments get deleted, that is. Not sure if that happens in an attempt the censor other points of views or to sane-wash out the crazy replies I get when I merely offer the point of view that most people in the world hold about a subject. Either way, at least some people that see them are reminded that not everyone in the world believes the crazy things that get posted here. You obviously saw some of my comments before they got deleted, so that's a win.
I've had multiple people thank me for doing this in my DMs, so there's dozens of us! And it saddens me the intimidation tactics that get used to squelch discussion of certain subjects on this site.
So, anyway stochastic terrorism is bad, antisemitism is bad, and socialism has failed many times in history. Lets see if I get banned from the "shitpost" community for saying these outrageous things, LOL.

Yeah! Fuck that stupid spider! (Sarcasm, obv)

wrote on last edited by [email protected]I'm not gonna argue with you because you're a lost loser, but for the rest of users reading this person's comments: this is a genocide denier asking questions such as "why do you consider the Israel-Hamas conflict a genocide?". This is what the defence of capitalism leads to.
If you're sad about the "intimidation tactics", it's very easy: stop siding with the Nazis!

Pretty sure what we already do to collect spider silk on an industrial scale is worse than this.

Or a metaphor for socialism... lacking the economic freedom to buy more silk, the spider couldn't escape an artificially designed system run by a central authority that didn't predict this scenario, because it isn't feasible for a central authority to predict every scenario.
Or maybe, given that the looks like the glass is outside on the ground so maybe the spider was put into the glass on purpose to make the photo? So the spider was sent to a gulag to die because it wasn't ideologically pure enough.
Or maybe it's just a spider in a glass and you can stretch a metaphor in any direction you want.
Your problem is that you didn't present just a critique of Socialism, you veered into praising Capitalism unnecessarily (which means a new system was introduced uncritically).
The metaphor for socialism would be that the one party controls the means of production, and that under true socialism there'd be a pile of dead spiders (heros and villains of the revolutionary period), and the web (which defines this epoch's age of technology) would escape the glass.
Possibly the most educated spider from the party's politburo would be able to step out of the glass... They would then climb into the next glass and try to foment a revolution there.
But all of the above is still dealing in an archiac propagandists ghost of 1950s Socialism (which wasn't even like that to begin with)... And many parts of it are in fact a better critique of modern Capitalism with its industrial powerhouses forming monopolies and cartels interoperating with governments, and the culture industry to press people into further wealth disparity and corrupt democracy until it simulates a one party set of state Capitalist values.
-
It's possible some dumbass got into power and had some goons put the spider into the glass and put tariffs on importing silk. The spider is dead and we'll never know if the spider would be dead had there been a competent in charge. But socialists are 100% certain the spider was going to die anyway because they believe all spiders will inevitably die because some weirdo with a big beard said something about spiders a couple hundred years ago.
Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Marx for instance would have disagreed with Mao/China's initial attempt to jump straight to Socialism... And that mistaken attempt was born out by history (as being a mistake), as it ultimately failed, and China had to open its self to becoming a Socialist Market Economy (in order to make up for its missing the Capitalist steps of becoming inevitably a Socialist society).

Wait, it works for you, too?

What do we do?

What do we do?

Can't they just climb the glass?
I'm sure the spider tried

Is it half full or half empty?
More than half empty and less than half full

More than half empty and less than half full
That’s a half truth at best

It's also the author of it, so it would definitely belong
More art galleries need to stuff and display the artists corpse alongside their work.

There's a letter towards the end of his life where he speculates about Russia, specifically, skipping the capitalist stage because of cultural reasons.
Arising from a capitalist and industrial system is less of a requirement and more of what he considers to be the most likely scenario. You could, for example, in theory have a peasant revolution but you'd either need to attract industrial expertise to modernize your factories or reinvent a lot of wheels.
And, of course, Marxism isn't the only socialism.

Apparently it's knocked out with carbon dioxide?
Still pretty creepy, and not because of the spider.

That was truly disturbing to see. I'm not sure why but I did not like that at all.

They have horse on the cob now?
Get in the god-damn ship, everything's on the cob!
