As you get older, it’s important to schedule time to disassociate.

        Much more efficient.

I do it during my morning poop.

Everyone, look out, this person has a regular poop routine.

This is why I love a good transit system. I can do this every morning in the train during my commute (much easier than telling my autistic self to change the morning routine to include a new thing in it. Tried it several times and never turned out fine).

For me it's a fight between saving time with car or being able to relax and read in public transit. Currently the time savings from a car beat the shit out of public transit, unfortunately.

I'm lucky, in theory by car it should take me 30 mins to get to work, but traffic and parking make it a 1 hour trip if I'm lucky. If I'm not, it's 1.30h or more.

Train + bike is a 45 minutes trip every time so it's a pretty easy choice.

Nah... In all seriousness, just exercise regularly and the pain goes away.

And a bit of genetic luck also helps. I’m a flabby 40, but I don’t have backpain, two working knees and I’m flexible like a bendy straw. I’m more flexible than the skinny 20 year old intern at work.

On the other hand my hair started turning grey when I was 12, so you win some, you lose some.

It's not always that bleak, at least for me. Sometimes it's just deep regrets, shame, trauma, that sort of thing.

Ah yes the vacation disassociation time, it nice to escape the external horrors once in a while to just your own internal horrors, it's like a warm blanket before the waterboarding.

it's called "unwinding" and also staring into the abyss hoping to find answers about the future there to cure the mental depression and anxiety that dwells in us all (or most of us) since we don't know what the future will look like

My only physical problem at the moment (that I know...) is that between myopia and presbyopia my clear vision field spans maybe from 30 to 40 cm from my eyes. This sucks big times. Other than that, no backpain or the likes.
