    More info here for those wondering. The person who apparently raped Phoenix is a dude named Armak. Jick and Phoenix ended up marrying, and Jick has a bunch of bunch red flags and abusive things that resulted in them divorcing.     I know where you're coming from, but in general "the world being unsuitable" is people lacking empathy and/or bullying people for being overweight. At least that's what I mostly hear about, overweight people complaining about social pressure. And sure there are a lot of overweight people who for some reason feel compelled to constantly rationalize their life choices to people who didn't ask, but then again if this is the problem so are there a lot of other people from every other group that people regularly critique that do the same. But with that being said I think we should point out that as there are few other "groups" one could join voluntarily and the "affiliation" with which is so immediately recognizable to anyone just by looking at you, that I do think overweight people receive a disproportional amount of critique compared to for example smokers. Statistically speaking smoking is more unhealthy and globally it's even more prevalent than eating unhealthy, but when was the last time you heard someone was getting bullied for lighting a cigarette?

    I love technology and gadgets! Got this Cuckoo clock, and it never asks me to sign in. I have a compass gadget in my car - never have to sign in My propane camp stove - fun fact, no sign in! I have a #2 pencil - I sign in with it regularly … I own dozens of screws - brilliant tech helps me keep it all together, no sign in though We've been doing great tech since the OG 'Fire'. I'm beginning to think what we call the 'tech' industry has a very limited understanding of what tech actually is.

    For newer pixels there's a feature that runs a local AI to monitor the conversation and will alert you if the conversation seems scam-like. Telling grandma to be suspicious of buying Target cards to pay the IRS might be an actual good use for AI.

    Thanks! Just don't forget to cancel and end up feeling like an idiot. I think it's possible to cancel the next day and still watch for the rest of the month. At least it was last time I did it.

    I'm reminded of a story somebody shared on reddit years ago. An arborist, working with his team. One of his crew had the chainsaw kick and come back and severely main him. He's bleeding so fucking fast. They need to get him to hospital, and they can't afford to wait for the ambulance to arrive. The woman in front won't let them past. She's going slower and slower to make a point. They're honking at her, but she lines up with another lane to box them in. That car slows down too. The guy is fading fast.theyre using his shirt to staunch the blood, but it's not enough. After several minutes, they finally have an opening they can take. They speed past her little car, throwing the bloodsoaked shirt out the window to slap wetly on her windshield. They meet up with emergency services - first, a cop. The woman pulls over to talk to the cop about their reckless driving. While arguing, the ambulance arrives. The injured crew member, and the storyteller, are taken to hospital. It's too late. He dies. ....don't fuck around man. You never know. It's no worth it. Do the safe thing and make space or pull over. Safety over spite.
